Hi all:

As a repair technician I have had to put cork and numerous other types
of material under thumbrests and the material we use to glue on corks is
just solvent based contact cement in a brushtop can. Just spread a coat on
the thumbrest and then on the eraser or whatever material your using, let
dry for about 10 minutes, and press firmly together. That will hold for
quite a while.
