To me, saying a polite "Thank you" is one of the graces one learns.

This does take some maturity, but it can be done.

Parents sometimes teach this kind of behavior.

It is a character building attribute to have, that of being gracious, and
goes a long way toward improving one's self image.

Even with fellow musicians, unless you want to get into a sometimes
unwanted discussion, just a simple "Thanks" is sufficient, perhaps with a
compliment for something particularly well done.
