The IDRS list serve chat room is not a matter of keeping an exclusive
"club," and it is not just for professionals. Being able to participate
in the IDRS list serve is, for me, just icing on the cake. The $40 I
pay to be a member gets me copies of their wonderful publication, The
Double Reed. I can participate in their conventions and be surrounded
by many of the best players in the world. Learning a double reed
instrument and learning to make high grade reeds is a life long
proposition. Rubbing shoulders with those who have so much to give and
who give it so generously, willingly and enthusiastically means a lot
to me.

I would encourage anyone who has never been a member of IDRS to try it
for at least one year.

Richard Bush
