Hi -
I'm wondering if there is a double reed group in Philadelphia that gets
together or an other double reed players that would like to meet and read some DRQ
music (two oboes, English horn, bassoon or variants).
I'm going to be spending a few days in Philadelphia visiting family for an
early Thanksgiving, and can make some free time (a couple hours) during Thursday
or Friday (day or night) or possibly early Saturday (Nov. 18-20).
I can bring my own arrangements, of course, and a newly completed score for
"The Golem" (with ideas for a suite I want to try out), and other quartet
scores in my library from John Hogan Smith (The King's Trumpetts and Shalmes Music
Editions), Alan Hawkins (Bocal Music), Gordon Solie (Editions Viento) and Mike
Curtis ("A Klezmer's Wedding") and assorted others.
Probably best to reply personally to philfrei@-----.
Best wishes,
Phil Freihofner
Albany, CA
