I heartily recommend Arthur Weisberg's intoductory performance notes in
his transcription of the Bach Suites for Cello; his recommendations for
performing these suites apply to any wind instrumentalist, not only
bassoon! He covers tempi, grace notes, breathing, dynamics, vibrato,
trills and repeats.
