Subj: [DR-L] quotes of the day
Date: Tue, 5 Oct 2004 16:27:08 -0400

I wouldn't complain about the quotes of the day. Sometimes many days
go by when they are the only thing that tells me (1) that the list is
still going and (2) that I'm still subscribed. Plus, they are often
interesting and/or amusing IMO.

But yes, it's good to have new people coming on. If they are just
told to go away and read the archive, the list will eventually dry up
completely; think how it is now compared with a few years ago.
