Hi all,
first off i think should admit that maybe I kinda freaked out about this
number of new comers to the list. IMO, this list consist of a good number of
double reeders. I am always happy to get any replies from anyone of you.
Everytime I post a question here I think "Oh my god no one is gonna even
spare me a second to answer me!!" Yet I get dozens of great replies. Some I
dont understand and read over and over, some solve my problem and a few that
I refuse to consider YET I respect all of them and I appreciate everyone's
unique experience and opinion as oboe planet IS unique and different. I find
this closeness and intimacy we have as a group is a miracle. I can never
find similar list for other things like medical or something.....So when i
saw this big number of new comers I was afraid our dear list will become to
heavy with traffic and that magical connection we have would be lost, thats
all!!!!
Fundemental or not, a question is a question and a question deserves an
answer if I may say so. Yes there are days when this list is dead quiet I
even think maybe i unsubscribed myself without knowing!! Yes maybe they can
dig up info from the archive if they wanted but honestly when was there ever
a straight answer 1+1=2 kinda answer in oboe world??? Oboe world is artistic
NOT scientific!! A friend told me once "so you should soak your reeds in
water then eh???" I said "YES.. but as far as i'm concerned i can soak them
in my Rum and Coke while I get in the mood to play!!!!
I hope this explains why I paniced and again tell you all how much i
appreciate your input in this list and most of all thank you so much for
everything. You guys have helped me alot so many times!!
