This list works the same way; it records something called the "envelope
address", something you normally don't see, as your address - not the From
or Reply-To address. The From and Reply-To addresses are just too easy to
forge; the envelope address is forgeable but the list software sends the
verifications for subscribe/unsubscribe and double checks posts against the
envelope address to make sure it's really you who is changing your status or
posting. So, Kat's comments about re-subscribing are exactly correct -
sometimes an ISP will change the way they create that envelope address. You
can receive mail from the list with the new address, but you can't post when
they're out of sync.
