I saw your original post on this problem, as well as the replies. My=20
suspicion is that there may be something wrong with the architecture of the=
=20
scrape you are putting on the cane. IOW, maybe the tip is too long, or not=
=20
enough cane scraped off the back or sides, or the proportions of tip-length=
=20
to back scrape are not correct, or sumpn' similar to that. The best way=20
that I could help you would be for you to send me a few samples of your=20
reeds so that I could see them, try them out and then make a few judgments=
=20
based on actual experience. This method is a lot better than endless=20
speculation about what might be the case.
I offered this same idea to another person, who accepted it, and he=20
airmailed a bunch of reeds to me that I tried out, and then was able to=20
pinpoint the problem. If you want to try it this way, then let me know in a=
=20
