Well, I'm certainly glad to know that somebody who plays second oboe still
believes in these instruments. I have noticed that the NC Symphony's second
player uses a Laubin, Charlotte's second player uses Yamaha, and Jonathan
Blumenfeld and Betty Camus also use Yamaha.
I still wish the Loree's low registers were a little better, that their
forked "f"s were better, and that Philly "d" and forked "f" resonance keys were
standard.
If only we lived in a more perfect world.
