Subj: [DR-L] Pitch in the low register of the oboe.
Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2004 16:48:09 -0400

A couple emails say the Loree has or can have a flat lower register. I
haven't experienced this. Besides, it is pretty easy to roll in or out a
touch to
make the low notes in tune. Isn't it?

Rolling seems to be a good technique for handling pitch down low, where there
is much less tolerance for breath or embouchure adjustments at low volumes.
I'm curious if others agree or disagree.
