For bassoons, Yamaha has worked closely with Daniele
Damiano (Berlin Phil) and Dag Jensen (formerly Cologne
Radio, now teaching in Hannover) - and maybe some
others - to find the best possible instrument. They
have been sending prototypes, modified, listened to
all kinds of critics etc etc. I would suppose they
collaborate with oboists on the same level in the same
way.
