Subj: [DR-L] Deep Creek Symphony

Just wanted to let list friends in western Maryland and West Virginia
know that it's once again time for the annual Garrett County Lakes Arts
Festival in McHenry, MD. This year, the Deep Creek Symphony (festival
orchestra) oboists are Richard Foley and Setsuko Akizawa, with Wendy
Large and myself on bassoon. Music featured this week (8/17-21st) will
be Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Brahms' Double Concerto, Mozart's Prague
Symphony, Barber's Knoxville:Summer of 1915, Strauss' Le Bourgeoise
Gentilhomme and works for an outdoor pops concert (1812 Ovt' etc.).
Always look forward to seeing/meeting list friends in the area! If
