Dear Colleagues:
Ohio University has a one-year, full time faculty bassoon position available
for 2004-05. We are actively seeking nominations and applications from
qualified individuals.
ARTIST TEACHER OF BASSOON:
Primary responsibilities will include teaching applied bassoon, double reed
methods, and bassoon pedagogy/ repertoire. Additional teaching: freshman
level theory/aural skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Music degree required, doctorate preferred.
Evidence of strong artistic ability and accomplishment as a bassoon
performer and teacher.
Evidence of effective college-level classroom teaching ability.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To apply, please submit the following materials.
(1) cover letter
(2) vita
(3) recording of recent live performance(s) (CD format is preferred over
cassette tape)
(4) a list of references with their phone numbers/emails in your
application (minimum of three is suggested)
Applicants are encouraged to forward their cover letter, vita and reference
list by email and send the performance CD under separate cover.
Screening of applicants begins immediately and will continue until the
position is filled.
