You know, Dear Friends, those courageous men who saved
Europe did not come in boats marked "Republicans Only",
"Democrats Only".

From whichever country they came, from whichever creed,
or system of politics, what they achieved was to set us free.

From whichever mouth the words "thank you" come, they are
not only acceptable, but necessary so we never forget.

How many World Trade Centres of human sacrifice did
people walk into without choice and with such courage in just
a few days?

I lost many of my family in the war and I for one was delighted
beyond measure to hear the French President welcome the
German Chancellor as a brother.

If they can do that - can't we leave party politics with the
politicians?

Now - how do we reconcile the French school of playing, the
German, the British and the American?

Another problem altogether! :-))))
