Doublereed Archive - Posting 000015.txt from 2004/06
From: "David F" <oboedave@-----.com> Subj: RE: [DR-L] Re: Quote of the Day Date: Mon, 7 Jun 2004 12:43:53 -0400
I agree with Eduardo.
Quotes can be beautiful reflections, all pertinent to many walks of life,
including music and doublereed instruments, but there comes a time when one
must realise that we do not all share similar tastes or reasons for joining
this mailing list.
We should respect Eduardo's reasons for joining this list. Rest assured,
many doublereeders, just like him, are not interested in receiving a daily
or even a monthly quote. If one is interested in such things, maybe there
should be a separate "Quote of the Day"/reflections mailing list dedicated
to such.
For some, the quotes are welcomed, enjoyabe emails in the sometimes empty
inbox. For others, it is just more annoying, unnecessary junkmail.
