Bear and double-reed colleagues:

Bear (aptly named), please tell us how you REALLY
feel! Seriously and with all due respect to you, I
believe you have aptly defended yourself from the
alleged attack.

One of my quirky pet peeves is those musicians who
have great knowledge and even some wisdom but who
choose to beat others over the head with it to prove
how much more they know than their audience. I am
willing to admit my ignorance, having finished my
Master's study in 1987, and I am willing to learn
about compositional techniques that either my profs
didn't cover or that weren't in existence then. I am
not, however, willing to be bullied or badgered.
You've expressed your anger 4 months late. Fine. Glad
to help you vent. Please move on, sir!

I hope you will post quizzes for us in the future; I
myself need the mental challenge. Please drop the
condescending attitude and post the friggin'
answers, sir! Opinions stated herein are solely those
of this writer, purely my 2 Texas cents' worth. Your
mileage may vary.
