Elaine Douvas, Co-principal oboe of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra
will perform the Strauss Oboe Concerto with the Pro Art Symphony
Saturday Night, April 3, at the Lafayette-Orinda (California) Presbyterian
Church.

Apparently nobody thought to ask her before now, but I know
the conductor socially, and she's amenable to holding a master class
either the thursday or friday before the concert. (And having witness
the before and after effects when a former teacher of mine worked with
her, I'm scrambling to make that happen!)
