Dear List,
it's nice to be back in the list. I have been trying for months to get
back on the list at Washburn, after being cut off for unknown
reasons. I've been following the messages through the archives, but I
couldn't post anything. I hope it won't annoy you if I come out with an
announcement you may have already seen on other lists.
Our next summer early music and dance course will feature also a
class in renaissance shawm and baroque oboe held by Martino
Noferi. The theme of the course will be the relationship between
music and dance in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, with
ensemble workshops together with singers and dancers. I enclose
the full announcement. If anybody is interested he can contact me for
more info.

Bagnacavallo (Italy) - July 27th - August 3rd, 2004
Third edition of "L'Humor Bizzarro. Intarsi di musica e danza antica",
eight days of courses, concerts and workshops in early music and
dance, with specific reference to the Renaissance and Baroque
periods, organized by the Association Il Teatro della Memoria and
directed by Claudia Celi and Andrea Toschi.
The courses will be held by Ninad Massimo Carrano (Percussion -
Rythmic Sensibilization), Bruna Gondoni (Renaissance Dancing),
Cecilia Gr=E1cio Moura (Baroque Dancing), Bettina Hoffmann (Viola da
Gamba), Gian Luca Lastraioli (Lute - Continuo), Martino Noferi
(Recorder - Shawm and Baroque Oboe), Santina Tomasello
(Renaissance and Baroque Singing). Ensemble workshops in music
and dance will prepare the closing concert by the students, where the
dance will be accompanied by live music.
Special rates are available at hotels, restaurants, at the Youth Hostel
and for bike rental.
