For those of you in the NY/CT/NJ area, I would like to inform you about a c
oncert this Friday, March 19th by the West Point Band. The concert will be
in the Eisenhower Hall Ballroom at West Point. The program includes:

Wagner - Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral
Ewazen - Concerto for Bassoon and Wind Orchestra
Stravinsky - Firebird Suite (1919)

I am the soloist for the Ewazen and the composer will be in attendance. If
you haven't heard this work, you've missed a truly great addition to basso
on literature. It was written in 2002 for Jeff Keesecker and performed at
the 2003 IDRS Conference. The opportunity to perform it is a true career h
ighlight for me.

I hope some of you will be able to attend!
