Hello again List,
Does anyone else feel that we should try to get this oboe, obviously stolen,
back to its rightful owner? Most likely an institution...is there any way
that we can locate the shop from which the oboe was purchased, then locate
the owner/institution that way? Can we tell where the pawn shop that's
selling it is located? They most likely had nothing to do with the theft,
but you never know.
I just feel that this is the right thing to do, and if we combine resources,
it will most likely get done quickly. Having had an instrument stolen, and
being fortunate enough to get it back (because it was not insured), I'm
guessing someone is missing this oboe.
Thoughts?

I would be careful with this. One view shows a number inscribed on the left
F key - could be a stolen school instrument. I would check into this if I
were you.
