Can I ask a silly question?

What should the temperature and humidity be inside my bassoon case?

Perhaps I should explain: one of my Christmas presents was a very nice
digital metronome and tuner. However, it is not just a metronome and tuner,
it has a third feature, which is that it records temperature and humidity
inside your case. That is all very well, but I don't know what the 'right'
temperature/humidity is.

Actually, I assume that there is no 'right' but that there are extremes of
both temperature and humidity that are wrong.

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim.

P.S. Another excellent present I got was a double CD set of Zelenka Trio
Sonatas with Heinz Holliger and Maurice Bourgue on Oboe and Klaus Thunemann
on Bassoon. Fabulous stuff.
