Subj: [DR-L] Fox factory modifications to bassoons?

I'm about to send my 601 bassoon to Fox for a service and to add a few
keys.

It was recommended to me by Fox that I consider having the following
additional modifications done to my instrument:

- replacement of brass cap on wing joint
- modification to neck strap ring.

Both are supposed to improve the resonance of the instrument.

Any thoughts? Anyone have these mods done to your instrument? What did you
think?
