There are some sellers that just want to sell and get it over with,
while others will do a trial. I'm surprised, however, that a retail
dealer of oboes won't do a trial since they would most certainly take it
back if you were buying it in a non-auction transaction. Maybe they
view it as a sale item and won't do returns on sale items?
