Double-reeders seriously interested in this subject may want to inform
themselves about the work that has been done on synthetic single reeds in
the past few years. One good example is Légère Reeds Ltd. They have
produced a product that I believe has received a higher level of acceptance
from professional (soprano) clarinetists than any previous synthetic reed.
