I personally use an electronic tuner, but , my sister the cellist, still
uses a tuning fork.
I don't think it's legal to sell tuners at string shops. ; )
I had a concert master ask me for an A before I even had my instruments
out last week (he really couldn't see that the way we were seated). I told him
I wasn't set up yet and offered him my tuner. He just said, "Oh, no that's all
right."
