An interesting thread. The response reveals something of our demography...
I tried trifocal progressive lenses and hated them. The world tips
like a rowboat at the edge of your vision as you turn your head left
to right. (Or right to left).
*But* the company I dealt with, LensCrafters, offered a trial period,
and when I came back dissatisfied, they not only remade the lenses to
my new ask, they returned the difference in price.
So if you've got one around, you might get to try out your hopes
without paying the penalty for a bad choice.
As to the Optivisor, check out the yellow pages for 'Machine Tool
Supplies' or do a GoogleSearch on 'Optivisor'. They really help.
