I'm not sure how many Davids we got here but in response to your insight regarding my questions, YES i am looking for some head start. I do know that learning is a slow process and acuirring skills is something that requiers patience.
However, I do know that there must be a point to start for everything. Usualy there is a set of rules which one should be aware of inorder to start something and progress. Maybe there are things that dont have a set of rules like making oboe reeds.
Honestly from what i have learned from many people I found out that there is no set of rules. Maybe some basic essential standard points but anything else after that is always changing.
Every oboist has a different taste and we all like different reeds and different sounds.
But what I was hoping ot find (and i did ) from you guys was a different opinion and theory. You all presented one main idea but in a different way. All these inputs, insights and experiences you shared with me enlightened my mind. I have a better understanding now of the concept of making oboe reeds. And I thank you all so much. And i do apologize if i seemed to be hasty, rushing, "computer/digital generation' youth!! You guys are the proffesional ones and without you we are nothing.
