Thanks alot David!!!and thanks again Jennifer. I'm sure I will be understanding what you all said 100% once i start making my own reeds which will start hopfuly next week with this great teacher. I just love to get a head start and have an idea of what I'm getting myself into.

I actually love the sound of many Oboist. I like John Mack for some certain pieces. Pier Pierlot is my favirout. And for some certain pieces as well I love Heinz Holliger. I guess I like the bright french sound but not as bright as Holliger's and a bit less darker than Mack.

Dark sound is nice and velvty whereas bright can be thin. Does any one know who makes great reeds that are not too dark nor too bright??? and why do I have the feeling that no one will be able to answer this question??? hehehe
