Hi there,
I performed this with an orchestra in 1999 and rented the parts. I can't
remember who I dealt with (have to dig through my papers) but I'm pretty
certain it was Boosey & Hawkes (parts are stamped "property of Boosey &
Hawkes") - did B & H just not respond or did they definitely tell you the
work is not available for rental. B & H also may have a sub-agent??, or
sold/transferred the rights somewhere else? I will let you know if I find
who I dealt with.
Chris Millard also might be able to help you chris@-----.com He
has recorded the work on his cd "Concerti Italiani" (CBC records) - well
worth listening to.
This is a very lovely and accessible work - worthwhile performing.
