She posted about the seminar about a month ago to the list. If you
missed it the first time, here's it again (pared down a bit).

"The 10th annual Northwest Oboe Seminar will be held on Saturday, August 16,
2003 at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Portland, OR.

"The day's schedule includes a solo master class, brief instrument
repair/adjusting session, the focus session with Dan, small ensemble
rehearsal, large ensemble rehearsal, dinner and a 7:30 performance open to
the public.

"Applications are due by July 31 and can be obtained by calling
1-888-627-8788, ext. 3 or go ahead and e-mail me at orchplayers@-----.net"

I wouldn't worry about being past the deadline if you just heard about
it. I'm certain she'll understand.

Rebecca Henderson used to maintain a list for oboeists in the Seattle
area. Both she and I have moved so I don't know her e-mail address nor if
anyone is maintaining the list in her absence. Her list got very low,
extremely useful traffic.

You have a wonderful teacher in Vancouver WA, just over the bridge from
Portland.
Victoria Racz. Give her a call and she will answer all your questions.

I would also appreciate it if anyone could suggest a good teacher in the
Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area (I live roughly halfway between the two
cities.)
