Hi all,

Thanks for the emails everyone, getting a good picture on UIUC and Ohio
State though no one has seemed to speak up for Iowa State? (well I think
someone sent me an email but the email was totally blank... so.. please
re-send your email if you are reading this!)

Just another question... studying oboe as an exchange student... is the
arrangement the same as learning from a private teacher? (ie. not
enrolled at the university as doing a "music" unit?)

Also, what kind of skill/ability level should I be if I wish to
successfully audition for the top orchestra/wind bands? I guess it's a
pretty subjective issue, and the only words I see is "competitive"....
but how competitive is competitive? :)
