Geoffrey and list,

Don't forget Dan Ross' excellent oboe gougers. He's here in the U.S. and
definitely belongs on your list. His machines are priced a bit more
affordably than the (also excellent) Gilbert gougers. In my experience,
Ross-gouged cane results in a more resonant reed. Depends on your reed
style and what you're looking for. Mr. Ross reads the list (or used to).
