I make reeds at a small writing desk in a all-window corner of the kitchen.
The slanted writing desk top opens to expose all my tools, supplies, and
reeds-in-progress and when closed, all is hidden & you see only a little
desk. The light is great during the day and I have a piano lamp for working
at night and for back-light needed to check progress of the scrape. Like
Nat, I tend to finish lots of reeds during orchestra rehearsals. Fooling
with reeds keeps the double reed players from boredom while the strings
rehearse.
