I'm lurking here enjoying your information flow and gathering 'local color'
for a novel i'm writing which includes a bassoonist and other symphony mus
icians. I've plagiairized information on earplugs for musicians, and the
risks of playing bassoon or oboe 'in motion', and determined that one has t
o be a mechanical engineer and botanist as well as a muscian to play these
instruments.

So, if i am laying out the living quarters for my characters, where do you
make your reeds? kitchen, bath, music room, potting shed, root cellar? And
if someone would like to correspond with me off-list to share some backsta
ge symphony information, i'd be most appreciative.

Oh, and i've been trying to figure out how to do circular, or double circul
ar, breathing-- without benefit of instrument. Sure glad i don't have a vid
eo camera transmitting on this PC.
