My dad is looking into buying an Amati ABA 41S Bassoon. I am an oboe player
and do not know about all the different bassoon makers. He is a retired
doctor and used to play when he was younger. I have his Schrieber (sp?)
bassoon and he won't let me give it back to him. Basically he doesn't need a
"top of the line" instrument.... just one that plays well to practice and
maybe play in a community band or orchestra.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
