Hello Shawn,

I too own this CD. The 1928 date is the birth year of Hidas, but later in
the liner notes it says that the concerto was written in 1951.

I own this CD. I looked on the case and in the liner. There is no specifi
cation as to which (no. 1 or no. 2) concerto this is. It simply lists 1928
as the composition date with an asterisk beside it. Presumable becuase this
might not be the definitive date of composition? It is simply listed as co
ncerto for oboe
