If you're going to oil the bore the best thing to use is almond oil. Use on
ly enough to lightly coat the bore, otherwise you will start having pads st
icking from the oil.
Good luck.

My thanks to all who responded. I now have a far better battery of
solutions (problematic and fluid) to try.

In case anyone wanted to know, my immediate solution was to pull out the
old WX-7 midi wind controller and throw a 4-op FM synth clarinet voice
on it. Keeping the volume just under the saxes, and hiding behind the
song leader (who is just enough wider than I am that I can do that), and
no one knew that it wasn't a clarinet. It's a coward's way out, but at
least I can breathe today.

I'll be exposing the case to sunlight just as soon as CT manages to have
some, and probably swabbing the bore of the clarinet with the light
bleach solution, then again with deionized water, drying and letting it
sit out to dry for a while. Then I'm going to oil it up, with brings me
to a new question:

Is there a good reason why I shouldn't oil the bore with the same oil I
use on my rosewood baroque recorder?
