I'm almost certainly headed to either New York or the Bay Area for grad
school this fall (not in music). Can anyone share their perspectives on
the availability of musical opportunities (private lessons, orchestras)
for an amateur bassoonist who has not practiced much recently but would
like to spend more time playing? This is not a major factor in my
decision, but I would like to have some idea first.
