Howdy,
There was an audition ten years ago (or so) the "list"
wanted particular passages from "Till Eulenspiegels" in
which both the contra, and the 3rd bassoon excerpt were
identical...(!) Neither were remarkably difficult
separately, but my, what fun! to work them up
for two instruments at the same time... Fortunately,
the practice of including that excerpt seems to
have ended there...
