Dear list et al:
Concerning the comment of the audience at this recent performance being largely young people: It was brought to my attention immediately following this performance that two such young people entertained a large part of the audience by "boleroing" one another in one of the corner boxes! :-o
I was NOT there in person, so I report only second hand gossip.
In the old days (like I'm some kind of authority or something hehehe) Youngsters (I'm told)made out in movie theatres. It's kinda reassuring - knowing that they're going to the symphony to see such wonderful music instead of Hollywood shmaltz.
Bravo, Paavo, and especially to the CSO and Mr. Winstead! Obviously, the performance was emotionally moving.
