Subj: [DR-L] French terms in music

Hi all,

I have two directions in French in a solo for which I can find no definition :

One is < a l'aise > which occurs in the opening 3 notes of the solo. There is a left accent above the 'a'.

The other is < pressez un peu > which occurs during several phrases where I am inclined to interpret it as 'take it at your own
pace' ; or, perhaps 'pressing on' ?

Any help is much appreciated.
Miriam
