Sorry if I offended anyone by posting a triple pic of Danzi cane.
Most modern email programs can decode attached pics, which are usually
mime-encoded (base-64) or UU-encoded, a means of encoding non-text
material so it can be sent by email, which is still text based. If all
you see is 60 screens of gobbldygook text, then your email program may
not accept or allow attachments; you could forward it to one that does.
Most lists do not allow attached pics because it could clog the server
if all do this. I compress the pics to the bare useful minimum, usually
under 150K. To please all, I will state when I have a useful pic and
send it via p-mail when requested.
Since there was some interest on how I do this, I am a histologist
who takes a lot of digital photos from a microscope. I use CPIC, a
useful, small (less than 2 Mb) picture sorting/viewing/thumbnailing
program for PC's I suggest you check out- http://www.photodex.com - free
for a few weeks. Great for resizing and viewing large files full screen
(turn off the view within windows option). The combo pics I do via the
indexing function, and labeling is easy to add. For an extreme example,
check out the views of our highly enhanced VW camper; I'll give out the
addy via pmail as it shuts down when overhit.
