Subj: [DR-L] Duo for 2 Bassoons

Hello, Double Reed List.

As some of you know, I am deliberately writing
a series of chamber works, sonatas and concertos
for each major instrument of the orchestra. So far,
I don't have any Duos for Clarinet and Bassoon,
but I do have a Duo for 2 Bassoons.

"Suite for Two Bassoons" (Jan. 2002, 5 mvts.,
18 min.), which I also call my "Duo Suite". It
has been transcribed for pairs or combinations
of several other instruments, and, surprisingly,
it has done far better on all the other instruments
than it has on bassoon, where it has practically
been ignored.

I Vivace Serioso 1' 55"
II Andante 2' 25"
III Scherzo - Salsa - Salsa 4' 40"
IV Adagio 2' 00"
(Canon at the Major Seventh, in
Retrograde-Inversion for the whole
movement.)
V Theme & 5 Variations 6' 48"
total time: 17' 48"

Please E-Mail me privately, if any of you
are interested in it.
