Hi!

The Strauss and Villa-Lobos are both great works but
are also heinously expensive! The Villa-Lobos also has
the caveat of being published by Max Eschig in Paris,
one of the companies swallowed up by BMG. They're
doing all of the warehousing in Italy (!) and the
legendary inefficiency of Italian administrative systems
has not improved . . . it took me over a year and a half to
receive an Eschig publication I ordered!

Do not forget the two delightful Suites for Clarinet,
Bassoon, and Piano by Alec Wilder (now possibly
handled by G. Schirmer, if not, try The Richmond
Organization).

There is also a good trio by Jindrich Feld for Soprano
Saxophone or Clarinet, Bassoon, and Piano.

Happy Rehearsing!

Bruce Gbur
