<<<.....I was wondering if anyone knew of any other pieces (besides the
Beethoven Duos) for clarinet and bassoon. We also have a stellar pianist
at
our disposal, so trio recommendations would be appropriate as well.>>>

For clarinet and bassoon, there is also a Sonata for that combination by
Poulenc. It's a great work in my opinion. Parts of it are quite
difficult technically, but its main difficulty is that the slow movement
is extremely demanding from the standpoint of breathing and endurance.
I played it only once, and occasionally get it out again and consider
repeating it on a recital. Then, I remember how much my face hurt after
playing it the first time and I put it back on the shelf!

For clarinet, bassoon, and piano, probably the most often played piece
is the Glinka "Trio Pathetique." It's late 19th-century salon-type
music, with its emotions on the sleeve, so to speak, but it is pleasant
to listen to. The piano part is the most difficult one.

There are also two trios for the same combination by Alec Wilder. The
second one in particular is a good recital piece. These are in the
tradition of 1950's American harmonic content and compositional
procedure.

Those are the major pieces I can come up with off the top of my head.
