Doublereed Archive - Posting 000044.txt from 2002/11

I designed and made my own weights from 1/8 inch diameter solid Tungsten
Carbide, which is an extremely hard material with Specific Gravity 19, or
2.5 times that of steel. Similar SG to Gold.
They are 1.25 inches in length, will never "rust", are highly polished,
compact and sufficiently heavy to prevent cord from "hanging" on condensate
within the instrument bore.
I am prepared to make these commercially, so invite private enquiries.
Dennis.
