As a long time ovo-lacto vegetarian, I find that I have ample energy to practice and enough focus and concentration to learn new material. My sister is a professional musician nearing completion of her doctorate in performance. She, also is a long time vegetarian.
I find that sugar and other refined carbohydrates are the real energy sappers.
