I'd like to add a name to the list of fine Heckelphone players. There is
an all Hindemith recording featuring Lajos Lences, the Hungarian oboist
currently playing in Stuttgart ( I think he is still there). It includes
the oboe and E horn Sonatas and the Heckelphone Trio, as well as Die
Serenaden. All of the performers and perfomances are absolutely first
rate. Amazing how the Heckelphone has become the intrument of the moment!
