Hi All!
I had the list set to not deliver for a couple of years during which I had
no bassoon to play and other things in my life which made it impossible
anyway. I just got a call asking me to play in a local wind ensemble which
led to them lending me a nice Fox Renard last month.
In the interim I have been doing some chanting and learning to play the
harmonium (which apparently is a double reed instrument.) I read that it
most closely simulates the human voice. I've tried playing chants on the
bassoon also as a method of stimulating creative force. I like to use them
as warm ups too. I'm interested in your thoughts and experience with this.
Warm Regards, David Wodtke
